Introducing Me: Aditya

Hey guys! I’m Aditya and I’m your Financial Director for Hearts to Heroes this year! As the Financial Director, I try to raise money for the different projects that we run mostly through applying for various grants and donations. Receiving any funding is always great as it allows us to continue using that funding to push forward more programs and events to help give back to the community. 

My time with Hearts to Heroes started during the end of my junior year when I was interested about joining an organization that related to ideas of serving the community specifically frontline workers and all those part of the medical field. Although lacking experience in the true events that our organization usually ran, I gravitated toward the position of financial director as it allowed me to use my skills for reaching out and filling out forms (truly an art) to help contribute. Being one of the positions that better fit my abilities, or maybe my inability to make graphics well, I’d say that it definitely is a position people should apply for in the future.

Outside of Hearts to Heroes I enjoy having fun, whether it be watching football games or getting food to eat (ramen is my new fav!), and along with Hearts to Heroes these activities help me give back to people that really have an impact in the community, in this case, me! If anyone watches any sports from football to baseball, especially if you love the 49ers or Giants, email me immediately so we can talk about how they are the best teams to ever exist.

Throughout high school, despite the other clubs and organizations I was part of Hearts to Heroes did stick out as it allowed me to apply the field that I was interested in with the larger goal that I have for myself of giving back. Whether it is in-person or virtual events, knowing that I can help those in the community around me gives me a sense of pride in what I do which pushes me to continue to work with Hearts to Heroes.
