Introducing Me: Baylie

Hi guys! My name is Baylie and I am one of this year’s Marketing Directors for Hearts 2 Heroes. I am in charge of creating an outreach through social media, our website, and making sure that we spread our mission to as many people as possible. I get to share all of the awesome things that H2H does and help celebrate those who don’t get enough recognition.

My origins with H2H dates back to the start of the non-profit, where I saw my sister and her friends find their passion for giving back to the community. Seeing it develop over time to become so successful and strong is literally crazy. I remember answering the door to volunteers and directing them to our garage but as I looked closely I saw each card and care package wrapped with personal touch, authenticity, and love from my peers. Ever since then, I want to carry on the legacy that my sister created and contribute to serving the community.

I gravitated towards the position of marketing director due to my experience emailing and calling adults for help with my own passion projects. While it is nerve racking and I often get really shy, I’ve learned that many people who have the same vision are willing to give you help, you just have to ask for it! In addition, I wanted to be committed, not just involved with H2H and do my best to contribute to this great cause. I have a lot of energy and love for things that I am passionate about and I want to spread it as much as possible. When there is a will, there is always a way!

Outside of H2H, find me outside on the softball field or the tennis courts. I love the team atmosphere and find that supporting each other is much easier when you all have the same collective goal and strong passion. I strive to be a leader at my school as well as sharing my passion for sports with kids in my community. In my experience, the most rewarding part about giving back or having leadership is getting the opportunity to serve your community. An appreciative smile, gratitude, and the energy you feel from someone when they truly thank you for helping them is the stuff that I remember the most. See you around!
